General & Structural Welding
MIG welding lays metal down fast and deep, which is what structural steel, thick plate and heavy trade work need. Frames, subframes, posts, lintels, machinery guards and mounts are all welded to engineering spec where drawings exist and to our own design where they don't.
Repair & Custom Fabrication Welding
Cracked buckets, snapped trailer drawbars, split tanks, broken brackets, gates that have dropped — bring it in and we'll assess whether it's a repair or whether the section is better remade. One-off custom work is welcome: if you can describe it or sketch it, we can build it.
Welding for Ipswich & Brisbane
All welding happens at Unit 5/13 Turley Street, Ipswich QLD 4305. Brisbane customers are a regular part of the work — a straight run from Brisbane's western suburbs, with plenty of jobs dropped off in the morning and picked up finished. We do not offer mobile or on-site welding anywhere.

Welding FAQs
Do you offer mobile welding?
No. Off Tap Metal Fabrication is a fixed workshop at Unit 5/13 Turley Street, Ipswich QLD 4305. All welding is done on site at the workshop — customers bring the job to us, or we arrange pickup and delivery.
What types of welding do you do?
MIG, TIG and stick welding, across mild steel, aluminium and stainless. MIG handles structural and general fabrication, TIG covers aluminium, stainless and anything cosmetic, and stick suits heavy or dirty repair work.
Can you weld aluminium and stainless steel?
Yes. We TIG weld aluminium and stainless for food-grade, marine, ute-tray and cosmetic work, as well as welding mild steel across the full range of general and structural jobs.
Do you do welding repairs for Brisbane customers?
Yes. Brisbane customers bring work to our Ipswich workshop, about 40 minutes from the CBD and much less from Brisbane's west. We don't travel to sites.
