Plenty of Brisbane trades and tourers already bring their work to us. We're a fixed fabrication shop, which means proper benches, a CNC plasma table, press brake and full welding setup — the gear that produces a straight tray and a clean weld, which a roadside job can't match.
Turley Street is roughly 40 minutes from the Brisbane CBD down the Ipswich Motorway and 15–25 minutes from Springfield, Forest Lake and Wacol. The job comes to us — we do not offer mobile welding or on-site fabrication anywhere in Brisbane. For most customers it's a morning drop-off and an afternoon or next-day collection, and we can arrange pickup and delivery where that suits better.
Custom ute trays and canopies with drawer systems are the biggest slice of the Brisbane work — alloy builds for touring and fleet utes, steel for hard trade use. After that it's general and MIG welding repairs, aluminium and stainless TIG work, CNC plasma-cut parts from DXF files, structural steel fabrication, and custom fire pits.

Do you service all of Brisbane?
Yes. Off Tap Metal Fabrication takes work from right across greater Brisbane — ute trays and canopies, CNC plasma cutting, fire pits, welding and steel fabrication. The fabrication itself is done at our Ipswich workshop at Unit 5/13 Turley Street, and customers drop off and collect there. We do not travel to sites anywhere in Brisbane.
Where do I collect my finished work?
From the workshop at Unit 5/13 Turley Street, Ipswich QLD 4305 — roughly 40 minutes from the Brisbane CBD down the Ipswich Motorway, and 15–25 minutes from Springfield, Forest Lake and Wacol. Pickup and delivery can be arranged for most jobs; mention it when you request a quote.
Do you offer mobile welding in Brisbane?
No. We are a fixed workshop only and do not travel to sites anywhere, including Brisbane. All welding and fabrication happens at the Ipswich workshop — bring the job in, or arrange pickup and delivery with us.
